Cornus sanguinea 'Midwinter Fire' (Pot Size 10L) Dogwood

The faithful Dogwoods steal the show in late winter and early spring with their brightly coloured stems. This variety has bright red-tipped stems that fade to yellow at the base of the plant. Fantastic autumn leaf colour is hues of amber-yellow and soft apricot. Look great when intermingled with other coloured stem varieties and planted on mass. This variety is covered in clusters of tiny white flowers in late May. The new Growth has the most vivid stem colour so each year we advise cutting back to ground level. (A process known as coppicing) . Look great when underplanted with evergreen contrasting coloured grasses such as Carex Everest.
