THE FINER DETAILS

Product details

Brunnera ‘Looking Glass’ is one of the most striking foliage perennials for shade, known for its almost luminous, silvery leaves. Unlike many variegated forms, the foliage here is washed in a soft metallic silver with only fine green veining, creating a cool, reflective quality that brightens darker corners of the garden.
In spring, slender stems carry sprays of small, sky-blue flowers reminiscent of forget-me-nots, hovering lightly above the foliage and adding a gentle seasonal lift. The contrast between the soft blue flowers and the pale silver leaves gives this plant a refined, contemporary feel.
It works beautifully in woodland-style planting, shaded borders, and beneath trees or shrubs. Combine it with deep green hostas, ferns, heuchera, or darker-leaved plants to maximise contrast. It is equally effective in patio containers where light levels are lower, offering long-lasting structure and interest throughout the growing season.
