Viburnum tinus (26cm) Laurustinus

Viburnum Tinus, commonly known as Laurustinus, is a versatile and robust evergreen shrub that brings year-round beauty to any UK garden. Renowned for its hardiness, it flourishes in a range of conditions, making it a popular choice among gardeners. The plant features dark, glossy green leaves that provide a lush backdrop throughout the year. From late winter to early spring, Laurustinus is adorned with clusters of small, fragrant white flowers, followed by dark blue-black berries, adding a splash of colour and interest during the colder months.
This shrub is particularly effective when used for hedging or as a screening plant, offering privacy and structure to garden spaces. Its dense foliage creates a natural barrier, making it an excellent choice for border edges or as a backdrop for other garden plants. Laurustinus pairs beautifully with other perennials such as Lavender, Catmint, and Ornamental Grasses, creating a varied and textured garden display.
For planting, Laurustinus thrives in well-drained soil and can adapt to full sun or partial shade. It's a perfect addition to mixed borders, cottage gardens, or urban settings, bringing a touch of nature's resilience and beauty to any landscape.
