Greenman Stainless Steel Digging Spade

A go-to for the heavier digging jobs across the garden, from breaking up London clay to improving soil structure and lifting or dividing established shrubs. The handle is made slightly longer than the norm, so there's less bending and a kinder day for your back. The mirror-polished stainless steel head cuts cleanly through soil with minimal adhesion, and the extra-long traditional lipped socket is riveted in several places for real strength. The sustainable ash handle has a comfortable, balanced feel that makes steady work of demanding ground. A handsome, hard-wearing spade from a fourth-generation family toolmaker.
