Product details
Classic Staunton design.
Handcrafted from graded sheesham and boxwood.
8.3cm tall king.
Weighted for perfect balance.
Bases covered with billiard cloth.
Beautifully crafted board from Spain.
High-grade mahogany and birch veneers.
48.3cm chessboard.
5cm playing squares.
This is a superb value for money wooden chess set bundle that features solid wood chessmen and a quality wooden polished chessboard.
These Down Head chess pieces are created from solid natural sheesham (golden rosewood) and boxwood. They are then hand-finished with a natural wax, weighted, and green felt applied to their bases.
We have matched these substantial chessmen with our 48.3cm European tournament chessboard made by our Spanish friends, the world-famous Rechapados Ferrer. This is a striking combination of rich mahogany and maple veneers, and expertly crafted. In addition, we have included our stained birch chess box to keep your chess pieces safe whilst not in play. The robust hardwoods and expert craftsmanship mean this set will last for years of enduring chess games.
Buying this set as a bundle represents superb value for money and a significant saving when compared to buying all three products separately. This is what one customer, John, had to say about the Down Head set he purchased.
