Dahlia Happy Days 'Cherry Red' (Pot Size 2L)

From the dark-leaved Happy Days series, this dahlia throws out bright cherry-red single flowers with glowing golden centres against near-black, bronze-tinted foliage. The contrast is vivid, and the open blooms are a haven for bees. The plant is naturally compact and well-branched, so it holds itself without staking. Grow in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, in a border or a patio pot, and deadhead to keep it flowering through to the frosts. An easy, container-friendly dahlia listed by the RHS as good for pollinators.
