Cordyline australis 'Salsa' (Pot Size 6L) Cabbage palm

This evergreen cabbage palm brings dramatic foliage colour to the garden with its distinctive maroon-pink striped leaves arching upwards from a tree-like stem. A cultivar from the Dancing Series, bred in New Zealand, it matures into an architectural focal point that works beautifully in borders, coastal gardens and containers on patios. The sword-shaped leaves reach 50cm long, creating a tropical look without requiring a tropical climate. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade for the richest leaf colour. Once established it is remarkably drought tolerant, needing little watering beyond natural rainfall in most seasons. Young plants benefit from winter fleece in cold areas; in coastal and mild UK regions it thrives outdoors year-round as a striking evergreen.
