Canterbury Cloister Privacy Box - Red

Some window boxes are there for colour. This one is also there for cover. Three tall, densely leaved euonymus stand in a large antique sand terracotta box, which is why it's sold as a privacy box: set on a sill or ledge, it puts a layer of evergreen between you and the street.Three red cyclamen and two trailing ivies fill in around the base, so the box looks full from outside as well as useful from within. The red gives passers-by a better view than your living room. As the ivy trails it softens the edge of the box, and the cyclamen keep colour going at the base of the greenery. It suits ground-floor flats, basement windows and front gardens close to the pavement, anywhere a little screening would make a room feel more your own.
